Autumn Apparel

We've had this little autumn outfit in our shop for some time now but finally got the opportunity to take photos of Annie Rose in it because she over visiting Eloise today! It was a gorgeous fall day with the crisp, cold morning air and then the sun broke through this afternoon creating a enjoyably warm day.
Annie liked it so much she wanted to keep it!

This is a dress we just made for Eloise. My mom bought it from us to give her on her birthday. It's a little big yet but she'll grow into it fast!

Change of Season...Autumn Artfulness Arises

There's something about the autumn season that I love; the crisp morning air, the smell of goodies in the oven, sitting by the warm fire and either knitting, drawing or just sipping a cup of hot apple cider. About two weeks ago we had our first fall evening. The rain was falling and the evening was dark early. It inspired us to redecorate our living room in those warm orange and brown tones.

Last night was another one of those evenings. Victoria got out her knitting and began making a baby hat and I took out all of my drawing tools and began drawing a photo. I haven't done this in about 2 years now but every once and a while it's something I really enjoy doing.

Can you guess who this is?

A Stylish Upgrade...

A few weeks ago, we were trying to figure out a good way to display our ribbons and lace, but also make them easily accessible. After looking at many pictures online of ideas, we finally decided on the design. Off we went with our brother to Home Depot.

We got 2 wall mounts, a piece of smooth plywood for the top, some dowels, and a nice trim for the edge of the shelf to finish it off.

It's so easy even you can do it! Just paint everything, measure and put it up! I love how it turned out, and all the colors of ribbon draw you to it.

On a side note...Here is something we just finished for a customer, it is for a first birthday. I think it's a cute idea for any little boys first birthday!

Alphabet Bean Bags...

Recently one of our customers requested some alphabet bean bags for her toddler. What a great idea! I pulled out 26 different scrap fabrics from our bins and began cutting squares. I then had our embroiderer put the letters on with the applique embroidery method. We used felt for the middle of the letters. Each one looked so nice, and unique in its own way.

They are now going to be for sale, so if you have children that you would like to start learning the alphabet let us know and we can make you a custom set!

Don't forget though, we can custom make any costume you might want, so don't be limited in your ideas! Bring them on...we can sew it.
